Last January 2, 2008 we met with Zeny and Darlene at their condo-hotel in Greenhills, San Juan City. They had just arrived from Davao City so we had to text them if they could be available for dinner at 7:00 p.m. But before going to their condo-hotel to pick them up, we first went to Ate Lily's residence to get some gifts given to us last Christmas. We invited ate Lily to join us in a dinner with Zeny and Darlene but she beg off because of feeling tired, besides she still had to prepare for her presentation at DDB the following day. From Ate Lily's house we proceeded immediately to Greenhills. Zeny and Darlene appeared to be ready when we went. We stayed for while as they talked with the kids having been amused how both looke so tall, sexy, and beautiful. From the condo-hotel we went to Gerry's which is just a few minutes walk
away.
Gerry's is noted for its exotic Filipino food. We ordered sinigang, laing, sashimi, sisig, and other exotic Filipino food. Zeny enjoyed her buko and pandan dissert; Darlene was also happy with another Filipino sweet Tita Beth ordered for her. While eating, Zeny had fun with Py whom she teased to drink margarita. Before and while eating we took some pictures to document such wonderful dinner with them. As usual Zeny was nice to talk with, witty and comic at times. She loved talking and entertaining the kids. Darlene and Tita Beth were like soulmates that night. They enjoyed each other talking and sharing their views about the kids and the family. While this was only their second time to meet, they seem to have a lot of things in common. Darlene is nice and easy to go with just like Zeny.
The dinner was Tita Beth's treat for Zeny on her birthday. We were happy that the food served was good and excellently prepared. Gerry's specialties with the Filipino dish makes it popular and drawing a lot of customers. It's a good thing that we did not wait that long to be served. Even if we did not stay in an airconditioned area, the weather was good and little bit cool.
After a wonderful dinner with Zeny and Darlene, Tita Beth transported them back to their condo-hotel with the car. I accompanied the kids going around Greenbelt while waiting for Tita Beth. The kids were amused seeing Kuya Germs of GMA7 entertaining guest in a bar, singing some "oldtime" favorites with an organ accompaniment. After a few minutes, as the condo-hotel is only a walking distance from Virra Mall, Tita Beth arrived and so we have get in to the car on our way home.
